It will be silver medals for Nicholson and Quinte Christian in their respective Ontario High School sports championships yesterday.
The Quinte Christian Eagles lost to Toronto Christian in the final of the OFSAA “A” girls volleyball championship in Kitchener.
The Nicholson Crusaders fell to Timmins 61-42 in the final of the OFSAA boys basketball championships in Sault St. Marie.
In Stratford this morning, the St. Theresa Titans will play Notre Dame from Sudbury in the semi finals of the Girls “AA” hockey championships.
The Centre Hastings Centurions and Centennial Chargers have wrapped up their Boys “AA” hockey championship tournament in Ottawa. Centre Hastings whipped St. Paul Secondary from Mississauga 12-5 to finish with a 2-1-1 record. Brandon Forstell with a hat trick. And the Centennial Chargers were 1-3.
