The month of February wasn’t especially remarkable compared to historical patterns in the Quinte region.
The average high last month was a fraction above freezing, and the average low temperature was minus 9.1 degrees. The historical average, as measured at CFB Trenton was about one degree colder.
Meanwhile, we did receive more rain last month than is usual for a February, totalling almost 60 mm.
Usually, about 30 mm of rain falls in February.
Last month, Quinte received 39 cm of snow, close to normal amounts.
