Tyendinaga Township is heading into budget meetings Monday afternoon
Clerk Steve Mercer says their first draft budget sits at $4.5 million.
If everything was to be approved, that would be a $2.8 percent increase over last year.
Mercer says they are also looking at approval for a draw on reserve accounts of $356,000.
The capital budget stands at $1.43 million, with about a half million proposed for road resurfacing, including a three kilometre stretch of Old Highway 2.
The municipality is also working on a renovation of the CP rail crossing on Weese Road, with a total cost of $650,000.
LED lighting conversion and $75,000 for a walking trail by the rec centre, are also on the table.
We will have an update Tuesday.
