Rising temperatures and melting snow have led Quinte Conservation to issue another Water Safety Statement.
Flows in the Moira, Salmon and Napanee Rivers are expected to speed up in the coming days and melting snow and ice will make riverbanks extremely slippery.
The increase in temperature also means that ice conditions across the region are considered unsafe, which means nobody should be out there.
While no major flooding is expecting, ponding may occur in some low-lying areas and home owners who live near the water should make sure sump pumps are working properly.
This water safety statement is in effect until Friday.
