Quinte West is making a major commitment to the upcoming International Air Show in June.
Monday night, council approved giving $100,000 in the 2016 operating budget towards costs associated with hosting the long awaited event.
The funds also secure the city a $20,000 “Platinum Globemaster” sponsorship.
Mayor Jim Harrison said he’s very pleased with council’s decision to support the air base.
Councillors Rob MacIntosh, Duncan Armstrong, David McCue and Michael Kotsovos were appointed to the committee.
