A City of Quinte West committee is recommending council approve granting a total of 389 thousand dollars to various community organizations and institutions this year.
The Corporate Finance Committee recommendation would be less than the amount granted last year, which was 402 thousand dollars.
Among the many organizations receiving money would be Loyalist College, Kingston General Hospital, local museums, Quinte Sailability and Arts Quinte West.
Meanwhile, Quinte West council will hold a special meeting on its operating budget on Monday evening at city hall.
