There was a minor house fire in Trenton overnight.
Reports came in around 2 o’clock of a fire in a back bedroom at 97 Scott Street in Trenton.
A couple in their 50s escaped safely, and were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
The fire had spread from an upstairs bedroom to the attic, but Quinte West firefighters had the flames
knocked down quickly.
The small 2 storey wood frame house is still standing.
The cause is under investigation. Damage is estimated at 75 thousand dollars.
