The citizens advocacy group OurTMH will press a board trying to create a health hub at Trenton Memorial Hospital to have the facility run by a community based board.
OurTMH co-chair John Smylie said any health hub made up of various organizations needs oversight from a group to oversee the building’s use and maintenance.
Smylie went on to say the board overseeing the building would not own it, and would not dictate how the individual organizations within the hub operate.
A separate task force is now investigating the feasibility of a “hub” involving organizations such as the V.O.N.
