WPD Canada will continue to work to have its proposed 29 turbine wind farm come to fruition in Prince Edward County.
As we reported early Saturday, an Environmental Review Tribunal ruled that the wind farm in South Marysburgh ward would cause serious and irreversible harm to Little Brown Bats and the Blandings Turtle.
However, it did not rule that the turbines would cause irreversible harm to humans, migratory birds, or the water supply. The Tribunal did note that the project would be a serious risk to birds.
Meanwhile, WPD Canada spokesman Kevin Surette says the company will work with experts and others involved in an effort to come up with remedies to allow the project to go forward.
As yet, a date has not been set for further hearings by the Tribunal.
