The Warden of Hastings County says many of his peers are looking at getting hydro from outside of the province.
Monday morning on the Lorne Brooker Show, Rick Phillips said many in eastern Ontario want electricity from outside of Ontario, because getting inside the province is too expensive.
Phillips says too much money goes into mistakes and this is one option for saving dollars in this part of Ontario.
He adds that the Eastern Ontario Wardens Conference has discussed it with the Ontario Government, because people are desperate to save money.
Currently Cornwall Electric gets their service from Hydro Quebec, which is less expensive.
