The province’s Special Investigations Unit has released a bit more information regarding the fatal fall of a man from the 9th floor of a west end Belleville apartment building early Saturday evening.
We now know that the deceased was a 30-year-old man.
In a press release, the SIU also says that Belleville police had responded to the Albert Park building at 99 Sidney Street after reports of an assault taking place there.
On arriving at the scene, police officers encountered two men. And at some point one of the men fell from a window.
He was pronounced dead at Belleville General.
The SIU has four investigators and two forensic investigators on the case, which involves 2 subject officers and one witness officer from the Belleville Police Service.
