Domestic Assault – Injuries
On 29 February 2016 at 12:20 A.M. Belleville Police Service Officers responded to an emergency call from other guests at a local area motel reporting yelling and screaming from a particular room. A 41 year old woman was taken by EMS to Belleville General Hospital and admitted with non-life threatening injuries. A 35 year old Belleville man was arrested on scene and is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Forcible Confinement. He will appear in bail court later today.
Domestic Charge Breaches
On 29 February 2016 at 3:20 a.m. Belleville Police Service Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person in the Yeoman Street and Benjamin Street area. Patrol Officers located and arrested a 29 year old Stirling area man for violating his court imposed release conditions from domestic charges. He is now newly charged with 4 counts of breaching his recognizance in relation to curfew in residence; consuming alcohol; communicating with victim and being within 500m of victim. He is held for a bail hearing later today.
