UPDATE: highway 62 should open to traffic shortly after 11 a.m. this morning.
Highway 62 is blocked at County Road 28 after a two vehicle accident in Prince Edward County around 8:30 this morning
County firefighters, ambulance and OPP responded.
A woman needed to be extricated from her vehicle and was taken to hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Crews are dealing with a small diesel fuel spill at the scene. The Ministry of Environment has been called in.
Some of the fuel is threatening to drain into a nearby wetland.
