It was a big weekend in St Thomas, for members of the Victory Barbell Club from Belleville.
They competed in their first provincial championships and brought home six medals.
Aaron Crossen took gold in the 77 kilogram class, while Kolby Parks placed first in the 69 kilogram category.
In the 85 kilo grouping, Will Condon was also a gold medalist.
Chris Roy took the bronze in the same weight class.
On the women’s side, 69 kg class Shannon Steele was first and in 58 kilograms, Sarah Condon took silver.
Meantime, coming up in April, the Quinte area will be hosting the Canadian Masters Federation weightlifting championships at Bayside secondary.
All local weightlifting clubs are taking part, along with clubs coast to coast.
