A pedestrian was hit by a car between Joyceville Rd (Cty 16) and John F Scott Road in the westbound lanes of highway 401 Friday night.
A Belleville man has been identified as the man killed on highway 401 east of Kingston on Friday.
Around 7:00 p.m, Frontenac OPP were called to the westbound lanes between Joyceville Road and John F Scott Road.
A driver struck the the centre median with his vehicle.
He then exited the car and attempted to cross the westbound lanes, when he was hit by a vehicle.
The road was closed for several hours while the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators attended the scene.
37 year old old William Runham died in the pedestrian-car collision.
