The Trenton Golden Hawks – and Hunter Fargey – have had the Kingston Voyageurs’ number over the last couple of weeks. They earned their third consecutive win against them and picked up their second overtime win at home in as many games, ousting Kingston 3-2. Fargey’s second OT winner in two weeks put his team on top. Fargey says he hopes his team can find a way to succeed on their playoff run.
Meanwhile, the Wellington Dukes added another big two points onto their fourth place hold in the Northeast Conference. They beat the Stouffville Spirit in comeback fashion last night 5-3. Luc Brown notched his 40th and 41st goals of the season, Ben Sokay had the game winner and Justin Bean added three assists. Tyler Burnie and Shaw Boomhower added the other tallies. Olie Lafreniere rebounded with a 23 save effort in the victory.
Wellington and Trenton face off for the final time this regular season tomorrow night at 7:00 at Essroc Arena.
