Motorists will notice a new railway crossing barrier set up on a roadway in Tyendinaga Township this summer.
Township clerk Steve Mercer says it will be at the CP Rail crossing on Weese Road, south of Melrose Road.
Township council approved the agreement this week.
The new barrier will cost $900,000, with the township paying one quarter, Transport Canada one-half, and CP Rail one quarter.
