A new haircut can mean the world to someone in need.
That’s why a team of local stylists are coming together this Saturday and offering free cuts in Belleville.
It was through her experiences volunteering at a Toronto shelter that stylist Melissa Payton says she realized how much Belleville could benefit from the Street Stylez event.
Payton shares what she calls the saddest yet most humbling reaction she’s heard after giving a hair cut to someone less fortunate.
Payton says she hopes this event creates a trend and more people volunteer to offer their services.
It runs from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at 295 Pinnacle Street on Saturday February 20.
