Bancroft OPP have charged a 35-year-old Oshawa man with attempted murder after he allegedly shot at his a girlfriend with a firearm Friday.
Cst. Brian Goodwin says an investigation led to officers attending a residence in Wollaston township.
With the the assistance of the Bancroft Detachment Crime Unit, and the OPP Tactical Response Unit, police arrested a man at that location.
He is also charged with assault; discharging a firearm with intent; unauthorized possession of a firearm; two counts of assault with a weapon; two counts of careless use of a firearm; two counts of criminal harassment; two counts of forcible confinement; two counts of pointing a firearm; and two counts of possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose.
He is being held in Belleville for a bail hearing today.
