There were hardy souls out braving the coldest weather for the Batawa Frostfest and Sophiasburgh Winter Festival Saturday.
But, the cold did put a bit of a damper on the attendance.
Still lots of happy faces enjoying the many activities in Batawa and Demorestville.
The main event at the Demorestville outdoor rink featured the battle of the blazes between the Belleville, Sophiasburgh and Tyendinaga firefighters.
Refs included: County mayor Robert Quaiff, Prince Edward Hastings MPP Todd Smith, Bay of Quinte MP Neil Ellis and play by play with Quinte Broadcasting’s own Jack Miller.
All proceeds went to Sophiasburgh park improvements .
