Three local athletes will be on the national stage when the 2016 Special Olympics Winter games open in Cornerbrook Newfoundland.
Adam James, Kai Freeland and Dianne Roebuck of the Quinte Blades Speed Skating Club are among the 200 athletes that will compete for Ontario. This is a qualifier for the 2017 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Austria.
The Canada games run from March 1st to the 5th with 800 athletes competing.
