The County has given the green light on a major heritage project in Picton.
Tuesday night council approved the redevelopment of a historic back shed to create a bed and breakfast at 1 Walton Street.
Picton Councillor Treat Hull told the horseshoe that he supports proponent Alexandre Fida in his endeavor, as he is putting out huge dollars and taking measures to preserve heritage.
Councillor Steve Ferguson agrees it is important to work with Fida adding it’s great to see a younger generation getting engaged in heritage restoration and re-use.
