If you’re headed to the Glenora Ferry this afternoon, you’ll need to take some extra time or plan a whole new route all together.
Prince Edward County works crews are performing emergency water main repairs on the Loyalist Parkway in Picton, until 6:00 this evening.
Bridge Street on the parkway will remain open, but there will be intermittent lane closures between Philip Street and Laird Street.
Drivers and residents will notice the presence of heavy machinery, which could increase noise and reduce visibility.
Water will remain safe to drink, but residents might notice changes in the pressure.
Homeowners are also being asked to flush the cold water tap closest to the water meter, once the work is complete.
