While Canada’s unemployment rate edged up to 7.2% last month from 7.1% in January of last year, things are improving in Ontario and in this part of the province.
Ontario’s unemployment rate was 6.4% last month, down from 6.6% in the same month in 2015.
Meanwhile, in this part of the province, the rate is down almost a full point, from 7.6% to 6.7%.
