The founder of a long-time Belleville insurance company, David Mackay, has died.
David Makay, opened Mackay’s Insurance Brokers Inc. in Belleville in 1977, initially in Corbyville then moving to the Dundas Street location in the 90s.
The company has 16 employees, including the branch office in Napanee.
Mackay was a strong supporter of the Hastings Park Bible Church, bringing in out-of-town groups for concerts and a strong supporter of the former Belleville Bulls hockey team.
David Mackay was in his 78th year.
