The number will stay about the same, but a bit of a shell game with beds at the four local hospitals.
First off, there are no changes in beds for Prince Edward Memorial, or North Hastings Hospital, Bancroft will stay at six, Picton, 12.
Trenton Memorial will add two beds, but are losing six beds in acute care.
At BGH, 30 beds will be set for acute care for the elderly, while Complex Continuing Care, which is currently 18, will be removed completely.
There will also be a reduction in a dozen beds at BGH in medicine.
Overall, it will only mean a removal of two beds across the four hospitals.
