Northumberland Quinte West MPP Lou Rinaldi says he and many others are working hard to bring services and stability to Trenton Memorial Hospital.
And, Rinaldi told a group of people from the advocacy group OurTMH Saturday that he was optimistic that
a healthcare hub would be created at the hospital, and that it might even include a Veterans’ Centre.
However, he said that, last year, the closure of Trenton Memorial was an option being closely looked at by Quinte Health Care management as it struggled with declining funding.
Saturday, OurTMH presented MPP Rinaldi with over 1,800 letters of support for his and other politicians work to bring new services in to vacant space at the hospital.
