The CEO for Quinte Health Care says hospitals are in uncharted waters when it comes to zero percent budget increases.
At Tuesday nights board meeting, Mary Clare Egberts told members they need help from higher levels of government, when it comes to the financial bottom line.
Egberts believes the ministry is listening and there will be help coming down the pipe in future years.
This week the board approved their 2016-17 budget, where they had to find $11.5 million in savings.
