Residents of the the Quinte area will have a chance to learn more about what to do when finding an injured or sick animal.
Quinte Conservation is holding an animal rescue forum for the general public.
Spokesperson Jennifer May-Anderson says the idea is to educate people regarding the wild animals they encounter.
May-Anderson says Janet Fenton of Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre will make a presentation on the work of the centre.
The forum will get underway at 7 p.m. Thursday at Quinte Conservation office in Belleville.
