A local MP has been named the Chair of the National Rural Caucus of the Liberal government in Ottawa.
Mike Bossio was named to the position Monday night.
The member for Hastings Lennox and Addington told the Lorne Brooker Show on 800 CJBQ, the definition of a rural area has to change.
He says it currently refers to a municipality with under 100,000 population.
