The warm weather this winter has helped builders of the new elementary school in Quinte West.
Director of Education Mandy Savery-Whiteway says they are on or ahead of schedule on the building, which will gather students from Breadner Elementary, College Street Public and Queen Elizabeth.
Savery-Whiteway says they are now less than a year from opening.
The director adds that with the school builds such as Harmony and Stirling Public in the past, they are learning as they go.
Another project that will be coming in the future is the amalgamation of Earl Prentice and Marmora Senior, which will include renovations at Marmora Senior.
