The growth of the United States has been a good thing for Canada.
On Friday, Pierre Cleroux, the Chief Economist for the Business Development Bank of Canada, visited Belleville and talked to local business leaders.
Cleroux says the success of the economy in the USA, combined with the low dollar has helped the Canadian economy in a number of ways.
He also discussed oil and for the United States is producing much more than they used to.
Cleroux says the glut of oil one reason the economy is not as good as it could be.
Cleroux also discussed the shift in China, low oil prices and even the Ontario wine industry.
