A man died after falling through ice, north of Kingston yesterday morning..
Police say 69-year-old Carl Foster and another man were travelling on two separate vehicles on Inverary Lake, when the small tractor-type vehicle Foster was on broke through the ice.
The second driver reportedly went into the icy water to try to help Foster. That man escaped the water safely, but Foster did not.
Foster, a South Frontenac resident, was pulled from the water by members of an OPP Under Water Search and Recovery Unit.
