Another year, another goal achieved for the United Way of Quinte.
Thursday morning at the Greek Hall, officials announced they raised $2,100,763.
Executive Director of the United Way Judi Gilbert was elated the goal was reached, even if by a few hundred dollars.
Sandi Sidsworth of the Canadian Mental Health Association spoke at the breakfast and praised the work of the United Way.
Awards were given to a number of companies, including Avaya, G.H Manufacturing, the Bell Boulevard LCBO, Quinte Access, and Proctor and Gamble.
The Jack Hartling Volunteer of the Year Award was given to Allison Farrell.
Proctor and Gamble was a major donor once again, giving $520,000.
Maurice Rollins also gave a six figure donation, handing over $100,000 .
