Brighton’s Trent Michaud and partner Hope McLean blew away the field to win the Canadian Junior Pairs Figure Skating Championships in Halifax.
After leading the field by 3 points after the short program, Michaud and McLean scored a whopping 12.25 points win following yesterday’s free skate. That should earn them a place on the Canadian Team that will compete at the World Junior Figure Skating Championships in Debrecan Hungary in March.
Michaud also skated in the junior mens catagory finishing in 11th place. Michaud is a graduate of East Northumberland Secondary School and the Prince Edward Figure Skating club.
