A Belleville-based insurance broker is growing, thanks to a merger with a company from the Kingston area.
McDougall Insurance announced its partnership with Upper Canada Commercial Insurance Group on Thursday.
CEO Ross McDougall tells Quinte News, the deal has been in the works for over a year.
McDougall added picking up UCC will increase the company’s expertise and influence within the insurance field.
And he says the deal might lead to some new jobs as well.
With the acquisition of UCC’s 40 employees, McDougall now grows to 300 staff and 29 offices across Eastern Ontario and the Ottawa Valley.
