Brighton’s Trent Michaud and parnter Hope McLean have a 3 point lead after the short program of the junior pairs competition at the National Figure Skating Championships in Halifax. The Free Skate is today. Michaud, of the Prince Edward Figure Skating Club and McLean from London won the Skate Canada Challenge last month in Edmonton. They hope to qualify for the World Junior Figure Skating Championships in Hungary in March.
Michaud will also skate in the Junior Mens free program today. He’s in 13 place.
