Hastings County is keeping an eye on possible federal funding as it prepares its 2016 budget.
Many municipalities have their hopes on extra funding from the Liberal government which has promised new infrastructure money.
For Hastings County, it’s a question of whether or not this just means roads and bridges.
Chief Administrative Officer Jim Pine.
Pine says the member municipalities take care of their own roads but the county could benefit from funding for social housing.
The county staff is preparing its budget now which goes to county council in March.
