Members of the public have a chance to give some input on the dates of the next school year for the Hastings and Prince Edward school board.
Each spring school boards are required to establish a school year calendar for the upcoming school year, in accordance with the Education Act.
The public school board has announced it is consulting with parents/guardians, students, community members prior to finalizing the dates for 2016 – 2017.
Spokesperson Kerry Donnell says the Christmas break will be different.
Seven teacher professional activity days are being proposed.
She says the dates will be coordinated with the two other school boards.
