The smell of marijuana lead to an assault charge against a man in Napanee.
On Saturday, Napanee OPP were called to a Dundas Street home, after a complaint of trespassing.
While at the doorway of the residence, officers could smell marijuana and noticed the drug in plain view.
22 year old Timothy Nelson was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
He was also charged with assault, stemming from an incident last Wednesday.
Nelson will appear in court next month.
