Delegates from Stirling-Rawdon know what’s at the top of their list when they get to the Ontario Good Roads Conference in February.
Representatives, including Mayor Rodney Cooney, will be lobbying for provincial dollars to help maintain County Road 14, which links the 401 to Highway 7.
Cooney tells Quinte News, his tiny municipality can’t afford it.
He says all of that non-local, industrial traffic, is taking a tool on the roadway as well.
And he says they’ve approached their neighbours for help, when they do get their meeting with the Minster of Transportation.
Cooney says in his estimation, something needs to be done within the next two years maximum, before things get any worse.
