The chair of the Eastern Ontario Wardens” Caucus says some municipalities cannot support the expected 6% to 8% tax increase caused by high policing costs.
The Warden’s Caucus is calling on the province for an across-the-board decrease in Ontario Provincial Police costs.

Emon says the province and OPP must take a look at the policing model.
He says the Warden’s Caucus has been putting pressure on the government through various organizations, such as the Association of Municipalities of Ontario and will continue to do so in 2016.
