The provincial government will force changes in parking rates at many hospitals.
Ontario hospitals that charge more than 10 dollars a day for parking will have to offer passes
that discount rates by 50 percent.
Currently, people pay more than 10 dollars for all day parking at Belleville General and
Trenton Memorial hospitals.
However, Community Relations Coordinator Catherine Walker says Quinte Health Care is well
on the way to complying with the new regulations.
The new rules regarding hospital parking rates begin in October.
