The Eastern Ontario Wardens’ Caucus met in Kingston on Thursday and Friday to discuss the most pressing issues for counties in the province.
Prince Edward County Mayor Robert Quaiff is one of the caucus’ 13 members.
Energy costs, cell-gap coverage, infrastructure, economic development and policing costs were common priorities for everyone, he said.

The reliability and affordability of Hydro costs is a major concern, Quaiff said.

The EOWC will be sharing these concerns with MPPs at the Good Roads Conference, which starts on February 21, Quaiff said.
They will speak with federal government officials at a later date, he added.
