Traffic Stop – Drug Arrest
Belleville, Ontario – On the 17th of January 2016, at 1:20 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation on North Front Street near Strachan Street. During interactions with the driver, officers detected a strong odour of marijuana within the vehicle. The investigation revealed the driver was in possession of a quantity of marijuana, scales, and drug paraphernalia. A 17yr old male youth from Belleville is charged with possession of marijuana for the purposes of trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act. He was released on a Promise to Appear in Belleville Youth Court in late February.
