The provincial government is providing more funding for two programs aimed at helping people start their own small business.
The City of Belleville’s Manager of Economic and Strategic Initiatives, Karen Poste, told city council Monday that the province is investing another 300 thousand dollars through the Small Business Centre, located at the Quinte Business Development Centre.
The money will boost the Summer Company program for students and the Starter Company program.
The extra money will allow 30 students this year, up from 14 last summer, and close to 100 people in the Starter Company program.
