Provincial Police have put out a few more details about this morning’s crash at the intersection of Highways 7 and 37, near Tweed.
Investigators say the crash happened just before 10:30 this morning after the driver of a car, northbound on Highway 37, stopped at the stop-sign, then turned left into the path of an oncoming, eastbound SUV.
Two passengers in the SUV and the driver and passenger of the car were all taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
At this point, OPP Traffic Investigators are still looking into the incident and there’s no word on any charges at this time.
Highway 7 was closed near the site of the crash for about an hour or so, before being reopened around noon today.
