There were lots of accomplishments in the City of Belleville in 2015, and lots to look forward to this year.
Mayor Taso Christopher had no trouble making a 20 minute speech at yesterdays civic levee on everything that been done and will be done in the city.
There was one project the crowd of about 150 at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre really liked.
Mayor Christopher said he looked forward to getting phase 2 started in the downtown in the spring.
Meanwhile, The Mayor outlined a few new businesses that set up last year, and made not of businesses that had expanded.
He also spoke of some that were celebrating anniversaries.
Looking ahead to this year, the Mayor said it was time to get serious about making things happen along the city’s shoreline.
The Mayor also spoke of new residential developments, including condos coming to Century Place in the downtown, a new fire hall in the east end of the city, and the opening of the new Archives at the library.
