The fate of the old Brighton Public School is still not sealed yet. Gordon Tobey of the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario asked council to set up a committee to sway the school board to sell the building to developers.
Tobey says there are two developers interested in buying the heritage building and restoring it. and, Mayor Chris Herrington would like to stay out of it. The Conservancy group was asked to report back to council when it’s heard from the property owner…the Kawartha Pine Ridge School Board.
