A Trenton-area School bus operator has shared his concerns about proposed changes to the way student transportation is provided with a local school board.
Rolland Montgomery of Montgomery School Transit told the Kawartha-Pine Ridge School Board last night boards of education will have to issue requests for proposals for school bus operations in 2013. He repeated comments made in the past about large busing companies being able to tender at much lower bids, forcing small, independent companies like his out of business. The board agreed to look further into the issue.
